Wow! What a Christmas!!! We just concluded a flurry of celebrations and are literally in the car on the way to Bryson City, NC to ride the Polar Express! Santa left us an invitation to ride the train back to the North Pole with him!

So - - we are headed out and can hardly contain our excitement. Lots of questions about the trip and exactly what we will do, but we will just have to wait and see!

Let’s back up to the first of December… We went to visit Santa!

My favorite memory of our visit to Santa was when Santa and Ryan were trying to read what he wrote on his list and couldn’t figure it out. Ryan called out to me to ask what he wrote on his list. It was super cute!

Riley and Ryan performed with their Pre-K class at the Bolton Academy Winter Wonderland show. They sang a very sweet Gingerbread song. We stayed for lunch!

Uncle Scott and Ms. Rhonda arrived on Friday before Christmas. We headed out to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens Night of Lights. It was magical to see all the unique light displays.

After the lights it was back to our house to begin the 4 days of unwrapping gifts! Riley and Ryan unwrapped the gifts that Grandma sent from Rochester. At one point I thought Riley was hyper-ventilating she was so excited! Sure wish I had caught that on video - - we surely would have won big money if we submitted it for a contest.

On Sunday night we exchanged gifts with Uncle Scott and Ms. Rhonda. Again – we could hardly contain our excitement!

Christmas Eve finally arrived! We went to a Christmas Eve Candlelight service and then a nice Italian dinner out. Then, yes you guessed it - - opened more presents!

Santa left more toys than we could imagine!

The sleepy heads slept later than all the adults. It was after 8:00 before they finally decided to wake up!

And then it was time to begin the hours of assembling…what a day!
