Easter is over and we are tired!

What a great weekend! It was in the 70's for this first weekend of spring and we had a wonderful time. I was off from work on Friday, so we headed to the zoo with our friends Lori, Paul, Katharyn, Joy and Avery. What a crew! We had a picnic lunch and enjoyed seeing all the animals. On Saturday we started the day with our weekly trip to our Baby Spa class at Play-2-Grow. We enjoyed tummy time (Ryan was tired and didn't want to hold his head up) as well as the swing! We are now big enough that Mr. Marc doesn't have to hold us the whole time in the swing. We also did back massage...and then we crashed. I think Mom and Dad like the class as much as Riley and Ryan do since they usually sleep for abour 3 hours straight after it's over! Easter Sunday!!! We started off the day with bananas and rice cereal and a full bottle. We are finally starting to "get it" in the food department. We really like bananas (more so than the avocado Mom made them eat last week)! Grandma came over and went with us to church and then Grandaddy joined us for Easter lunch. We opened the goodies in our Easter baskets and then headed up to the park for the neighborhood Easter egg hunt. What a fun day! To sum it all up - great weekend - and we are tired! 5 months...

Riley & Ryan are officially 5 months old! Friday (3-7-08) was the big day. We had grand plans for a 5 month photo session when we got home, but they were determined it was not going to happen. Did I mention it was Friday night? After a long week? Riley cried most of the time (as you will see in the photos), so we finally gave up. I did take some pictures the next morning, so we'll count those as the 5 month pics! Flexibility is the key to raising twins (or any babies for that matter!). They have been eating rice cereal for 2 weeks now. We tried sweet potatoes today and they loved them. Riley is still not so sure about it all, but I don't think Ryan is going to encounter much of anything he won't like. He helps me feed him by grabbing my arm and shoving the spoon in his mouth. You have to see it to believe it! I hope they are not picky eaters like their daddy! :) I think they will both be sitting up in the near future. Time is flying by, but we are enjoying every single second.

Sunday, March 2, 2008 was our 6th wedding anniversary. We took Riley and Ryan to my parent's house for the afternoon and as soon as we arrived, Riley rolled over right in front of Kevin and me! I was home today (3-4-08) with Ryan (he had some stomach issues yesterday and had to stay home from school) and he rolled over in front of mom and me! He was not going to let his sister outdo him! They will be 5 months old in 3 days...right on track! They are both talking away. Ryan is full of smiles and talking - making up for lost time.
