Dare Devils!

We went to our multiples club play date on Saturday at Sensations Therafun.  It’s a really cool place that is filled with all kinds of sensory and developmental “toys”.  It is a facility used for therapy, but it’s also used as a place to “play”.  The kiddos had a blast, but what I was most impressed with was the fact that both of my children went down the zipline!!!  I got up on the platform and it was even a little scary to me, but my kiddos were rock stars and jumped right on!

I never posted about the weekend we hosted our super bowl party, so at this point it’s old news…  But – I thought I would include the pictures anyway!  It was total chaos…I think it was 11 children 5 and under and 9 adults!  We had a great time, but there were moments I asked myself - “what were we thinking”?

Long Night

So – I missed my Sunday night blog post last night. Too much laundry hanging over my head, so the laundry won! It will happen (hopefully) tonight, but – I just had to post this now to recap our night (overnight) last night beofre I forget it. We were up 3 times – Kevin went in when Riley was crying and then I went in when Ryan was crying. I didn’t get the recap of Kevin’s visit because I was trying my hardest not to really wake up. But I made a point to remember my talk with Ryan. When I went in he was crying for Daddy and the conversation went like this...

Me: Ryan – honey what’s wrong? Why are you crying?
R: Where’s Daddy?
Me: Daddy is in our room sleeping…like you should be.
R: Go get him.
Me: I’m not going to get Daddy, so please tell me what is wrong?
R: Watch a movie? (as he began to sit up and try to get out of his bed)
Me: We can’t watch a movie – it’s 3:30am! It’s time to go to sleep.
R: I go with you mommy. (hugging my neck tightly)
Me: You can’t go with mommy. You need to stay in your own bed like Riley and Daddy. Do you want mommy to stay in here with you for a minute before you go back to sleep?
R: oh yes mommy.
A few minutes passed and he was settled so I kissed him on the forehead…
Me: I love you bug!
R: My name is Ryan.
Me: (trying my very hardest not to laugh out loud.) You are right – I love you Ryan!
R: Love you too mommy. Night night.

What a sweet time – even if it was 3:30am! The 3rd time we were awakened was at 5:00am when the thunder began to roll and rattle our whole house. That time it was Sable that was scared. When my alarm went off at 5:38 I really thought it was a joke, but sure enough it wasn’t. I’m now on my second cup of coffee and hoping for a good nights’ rest tonight!

Valentine’s Weekend

We had such a fun weekend kicked off by a beautiful and fun snowfall on Friday.  Saturday started off as a lazy day, but we ended the evening with an overnight visit from Mee Maw and a date night for mommy and daddy!  Yay!  Mee Maw brought some great gifts but I think the heart suckers were the hit!  They had a lot of fun playing with Mee Maw and watching a movie with her before bed.

On Sunday we went to church and then brunch with Mee Maw.  After nap time we surprised the kids and told them we were going to the CIRCUS!!!  I wasn’t so sure if they were quite ready, but we got a deal on some tickets and decided to try it out…and boy are we glad we did!  When we got there we met up with the Cole family and Riley and Avery were so excited to see each other.  They ran and gave hugs then proceeded to each show off their outfits.  It was the cutest thing and even the people around us were cracking up.  They held hands as we entered the arena and had fun looking at all of the “stuff”.  Ryan was just sitting back taking it all in and he was basically frozen until about 30 minutes after the show started.  They sat in our laps or their chairs the entire 2 1/2 hours!  It was really amazing!  They clapped cheered and danced and we all really enjoyed ourselves.  Here’s a little video clip and some photos taken with my iPhone (they are poor quality but it somewhat captures the moment).

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Snow!

We had about 3-4 inches of snow yesterday and it is so beautiful!  I put together a little video of us playing in the snow yesterday.  Still need to post from last weekend, so maybe that will happen today.  For now, I’m going to hang with my sweet family, sip on my hot coffee and enjoy being warm while I look out my window at the beautiful snow.  Today is good!

It wouldn’t be a true snow experience until someone totally lost it!  Ryan let us know it was time to come in when he burst into tears and said “FEET” ~ cry ~ “COLD!!!”
