I keep trying to remember to "record" this and have forgotten to include it in the last few blogs, so I'm going to "record" it right now while I'm thinking about it...
We have started singing a few songs during our night-time routine to calm everyone down just before bed. Usually, while I'm singing Riley and Ryan are sitting quietly in my lap or Kevin's lap. Riley usually has already gotten her "lovey" out of her crib and is holding it close to her face while sucking her thumb. I usually end with the classic favorite "Jesus loves me". The last few nights when I started singing, Riley has popped up out of my lap and started dancing. She moves her shoulders and sways her hips back and forth. She then happily claps once the song is over. It is absolutely hilarious and I think this will be forever imprinted on my brain as a "favorite moment".
PS - the dancing thing is not something new for Riley. She dances a lot. Just about any time she hears music and they play music almost all day at school. They tell me she dances her way through most days at school. I just didn't think I could provoke her to dance to my singing "Jesus loves me". Ryan also likes to clap or pat his hands to the music...he's just not as into dancing as she is! That's all for now...
