Our trip to Seacrest Beach has come and gone, but we keep re-living all of the great memories we made with great friends and our family. We went with our friends that have 18 month old b/g twins. With that many kiddos we decided that bringing a few sitters with us wasn’t a bad idea…and it proved to be one of our best ideas yet! We had 2 girls that just graduated from high school come with us and they helped out when we needed them and they were also able to get out for a few nights of fun themselves!
One of the first surprises was that Riley & Ryan are finally old enough to put on their headphones (they called them telephones all trip) and keep them on! This means they watch their movies and we listen to our music in the front seat!!! Major milestone reached!
The whole gang loving our first time in the pool at Seacrest.
We spent a lot of our time in this pool since it was so conducive to small kids – with lots of shallow areas. We were concerned about the oil spill, but we never saw any oil in the water or on the sand. Either way – it didn’t matter since we loved the pool so much!
Riley and Ryan both swam great with their noodles tied around them
…but this little guy improved greatly throughout the week and was definitely addicted to the water! He would swim underwater without any assistance for several feet!
The Kids Block Party at Rosemary Beach. Riley was helping Jack take off his shoes so he could join her in the jumpy!
I waited in line for an hour for them to have their faces painted. Ryan was very excited, but once we got to the front of the line, Riley wasn’t so sure. I’m glad she finally decided it was a good idea!
We had promised a visit to the Sugar Shak for ice cream before we knew how long we would be at the block party. It was late, but we got ice cream and let them pick out exactly what they wanted. Riley chose “pink” with rainbow sprinkles and Ryan had vanilla with gummy bears. They were like “kids in a candy shop”! he he
Camping out with the sitters Alex and Morgan. They LOVED sneaking in their room – they had a great snack stash!
Ryan wearing Morgan’s headband
They tasted Cheeto-s for the first time and LOVED them! Ryan had the fingers to prove it!
…to be continued (yes there is much more)
