I honestly don’t know where the summer of 2011 has gone, but it came and went like a flash of light! Summer is a busy time in general, but it’s a super busy time for me at work, so that just multiplies the speed! So - -here’s a little recap of the last 2 months!
We went to Stone Mountain for a day of fun with the Coles and then stayed for the laser show!

Our Rogers family gathering was cancelled during Christmas time last year due to the weather, so we had a “Christmas in August” in Cordele, Georgia. It was a great afternoon of hot summer fun!
They finished up EPS2 with Ms. Nicole, Ms. Lovey and Ms. Christina!
There were more swim lessons with Ms. Meggan and they both now know how to swim! They can hold their breath under water and even swam across the pool a time or two! I believe Ryan truly enjoyed it a little more than Riley, but they were both very good in the water this summer!

They LOVE being silly for the camera!

We discovered Ryan had a pyogenic granuloma that had to be removed. There was nothing to be worried about, but since it was on his face and growing rather quickly, we needed to have it surgically removed. I was so thankful to have it off - - when it started to bleed it was quite difficult to get the bleeding to stop. Through it all he was a trooper!!! We cannot say enough wonderful things about Children’s Hospital of Atlanta. They run a top notch facility and made Ryan feel like a king for the day. I don’t think he wanted to leave!

He spent the hour before surgery playing on his Leapster!

After surgery he looked a little rough - - most of the redness was from where we had been taking the band aids on and off.

He was definitely GOOFY after surgery and kept playing hide and seek under the covers. We went to Piedmont Park for a picnic and then some splashing in the fountains!
They moved from their toddler beds to big girl and big boy full size beds! And – we are officially finished with all pull-ups!
We had the Fall Festival at school.
It was a wonderful summer full of memories that will last a lifetime!
