Theme Week

There have been several theme days at school lately.  There was PJ Day…complete with pig-tails!  I beg Riley each and every morning to wear a bow, ponytail or pig-tails and this morning she finally “let” me!  I cannot believe how very cute she looks!!!  I wish she would “let” me do this every day, but I can only wish…
Winking smile

March 2nd is Dr. Seuss’ birthday, so everyone came dressed as their favorite storybook character.  We sent Cinderella and Woody off on their way for a fun-filled day.  It was quite amusing to see all the “characters” in full costume on the playground when I arrived to pick them up.

This past weekend we had 4 birthday parties.  Yes – 4 – wow!  Due to the weather one was cancelled and quite honestly, I don’t know how we could have made it through 3 in 1 day.  We were exhausted after just 2 parties, but boy did we have fun!

The day started with Margaret’s 2nd birthday party at “The Music Class”.  It was a great party!  It took Ryan a little while to warm up.  I couldn’t figure out why and then I looked around the room.  He was one of just a few boys in a room full of cutey-pie little girls.  This is something I’ve never seen bother him, but once he warmed up, he totally forgot he was was of the only boys!  He had so much fun with the instruments – especially the drums!

After a quick meal and cake, came the highlight of the day…running around in circles with the older kids.  There was great joy on their faces as they literally ran in circles and then fell on the floor in laughter.
Just goes to show you don’t need much to entertain this crew!

After we came home and napped, we headed up to Alpharetta for Colin’s 4th birthday party.  It was a cooking party and everyone got their own apron with their name on it!

Something I’ve never really celebrated is Fat Tuesday, but this year the kiddos were super-excited about the big Mardi Gras parade.  They were excited about wearing beads and most of all about wearing “scary masks”!

I was excited about the new boots I bought Riley.  Since all Riley wants to wear these days are dresses, I had to “convince” her to wear jeans.  It just wouldn’t be right to wear them with anything else.  Once convinced, she was quite cute and quite excited herself!

These were the “scary masks” they’ve been talking about.  I don’t think they are very scary at all!  Just cute cute cute!

They LOVE Mr. Homero that works at the school.  They literally squeal when they see him.  He loves to throw them up in the air.
